Grassroots Showdown

Louisville, KY – With some of the major AAU basketball sponsor circuit events in play this past weekend the Grassroots Showdown a non-circuit event in Louisville, Kentucky had some of the best talent that was in attendance at the Under Armour and Nike events.

Below is just a few of the standouts Make5media noticed:

2026 Doron Harris 5’11” PG (Team Feed) Indianapolis, IN

He was quick and crafty with the ball. Harris showed very good handles as he got in the lane with ease. He was able to display his shooting ability beyond the three point line. I really liked the confidence he played with.

2027 JaQuan Walker 6’6″ WF (Queen City Prophets) Cincinnati, OH

He was by far one of the best athletes in attendance this past weekend. His ceiling is off the charts plus I loved his energy and activity on defense. A lot of his production is done around and above the rim. He’s definitely a player to watch in the future.

2026 Isaiah Brown 6’9″ F/C (Florida Pro)

It was my first time seeing him play and I was highly impressed with his defensive effort as he contested everything at the rim. Brown was very physical and played through contact. His offensive game is still raw but i can definitely see that improving. Brown’s name has been a little quiet in the 2026 class but i can see the talk about him becoming much louder.

2026 Bentley Shelton 6’4″ CG (INB Elite) Evansville, IN

This young man had one of the most efficient scoring games of the weekend. He can score at all 3 levels. His offensive game is very impressive. He knocked a few 3’s that looked like NBA range. He plays with much poise and confidence. His summer stock continues to rise.

2027 Larron Westmoreland 6’3″ CG (The City) Louisville, KY

He’s a phenomenal athlete in three sports and basketball may be the least of the three and thats saying something. His calling card at this point is his defensive. He stays on attack on both ends and affects the game in so many ways. Once he decides he wants to concentrate on basketball, his game has a chance to explode.
