EYBL Atlanta Session – Friday

On Friday night Maleek Thomas treated onlookers to an entertaining performance, particular down the stretch and their Double Overtime win against the Nightryders. Here are some of the evenings top players.

6-4 2025 PG Maleek Thomas (New Heights Lightening) made big shot after big shot in their win against a tough Nightryders squad led by Cameron  and Cayden Boozer. Thomas dipped in his bag, using floaters, tough drives, pull-ups to close out the game. He was disruptive on the defensive end as well, getting into the passing lanes for steals and finishes on the other end.

6-10 2025 F Cameron Boozer(Nightryders) did what we have come to expect…He fills the stat sheets. He defended the paint, boarded misses, active on the offensive glass, knocked down spot up threes and never let up, displaying his trademark competitiveness.

6-9 2025 PF Jamar Davis (Team Thad) opened eyes on Friday night. Davis is an active, bouncy forward, constantly getting low post position (showing good touch in the paint), followed misses for dunks, ran the court and was a defensive agitator. Look for him to make a climb in the rankings with performances like Friday night.

6-9 2027 WG Baba Oladotun (Team Durant) Newly minted by make5 and many others to be the classes top player, didn’t disappoint. I don’t think there’s a spot on the floor that Oladotun can’t score from. He scored on all levels, knocking down pull-ups, catch and shoot three’s, off the catch with some forays to the basket. As this young man gets stronger it will a problem for all to defend.

6-8 2027 CJ Rosser (Team United) is a player you need to add on your watchlist. I last saw Rosser at the Underclassman AllAmerican Rising Stars game and he has grown and improved. The young wing can put it on the deck, shoot It from deep and hits the mid post for feathery 12-footers. Rosser is a top 25 prospect with a high ceiling. He has build that will most certainly add some pounds and potentially a couple more inches (mom is 6-5).

6-8 2025 F Sadiq White (Team United) was all energy and production on Friday. Defensively with his length and athleticism showed he can be an elite perimeter defender. Offensively showed scoring tools in the paint and knocked down shots from midrange and behind the arch. Look for him to make some movement in the make5 rankings.
