Scouting Report
Stephen emerged during May of the grassroots season as one of the hardest playing prospects in the national 2024 class. As a footer, he brings great size, a chiseled frame, and long arms to the table. Individual offense is an afterthought when highlighting his approach to the game. He is a hardworker whose mindset is strictly geared towards doing the most important things that are asked of players his size. He is a sprinting big who runs the floor with a great sense of urgency. Additionally, he brings value as an eager help defender who plays with strong effort and a positive personality. Offensively, his hands are a real concern. He can struggle to come up with quick, clean catches at times. He also is not a threat when receiving the ball down low in a half court set. Most of his offensive production comes off putbacks and clean dumpoff finishes. Coaches are attracted to how Stephen can impact the game as an energized defensive enforcer. His energy is not based on how many touches he receives as he projects to be a relentless asset who will close out possessions and gain his team extra ones with his activity around the rim.
