Next UP: 2029 6’8″ SF Draydne McDaniel | UCAAG

Program: SOH Elite (UA) | Level Played: 16U
National Ranking: Top 5 Player in the Class of 2029

Draydne McDaniel enters his freshman year at Prolific Prep already showcasing the maturity and skill set of an upperclassman. At 6’8”, he brings a rare combination of elite athleticism, size, and length, paired with a versatile, polished game on both ends of the floor. McDaniel plays with poise and control, consistently attacking defenders off the dribble and punishing smaller matchups in the post. He’s a relentless offensive rebounder and often initiates the break himself after securing defensive boards.

What separates McDaniel from his peers is his ability to impact the game defensively. He’s a high-level switch defender—able to slide with smaller guards while holding his own in the paint. His vision, timing, and natural instincts make him disruptive on that end.

Equally impressive is his character. Known as one of the best teammates in his class, McDaniel’s leadership, unselfishness, and willingness to do the little things elevate those around him. With his physical tools, motor, and mentality, he projects as one of the premier national prospects in the Class of 2029.

We had the time to catch up with McDaniel at the UCAAG in Atlanta, GA.
