UAA Next Session I – Saturday

The travel league season began last week with 3SSB kicking off in Omaha. Under Armour Next and EYBL took stage this week for their first sessions. Here are some of Saturday’s top performers UAA.

Donnie Richardson 6-6 2025 CG (Virginia Elite) is a new name to Make5. The lengthy Richardson was the trigger man in the Saturday’s early game. He created scoring opportunities for himself and others, utilizing ball screens, quick snatch drives and showed some creativity with the dribble.

Jordan Scott 6-7 2025 Wing (Virginia Elite) showed his range in both games. Plays with efficiency to get to his spots, when not knocking down deep three’s. Showed good touch in the paint with short pull ups and fadeaway’s. There’s a reason why Power 5’s are making their way to VA to catch him in action.

Kam Prince 6-1 2025 PG (Team Curry) has continued to impress this spring. He can create scoring opportunities with decisive use of the dribble, constantly getting paint touches and can drain the deep ball. With his current play, look to see his recruitment pickup.

Isaac Hayes 5-10 2027 PG (Texas Impact) played a huge roll in the come from behind win over West Coast Elite 16’s. Rarely getting a break and THE primary ball handler, Hayes was critical in running the offense, finding teammates on kicks and drops while also making scoring plays.

Marcus Gillespie 6-3 2025 SG (Atlanta Xpress) Continues to show his deep range. The more you see the more you like about Gillespie. He has deep range and quick release but can also get to spots with his dribble and an underrated passer.  Defensively he stays connected and rebounds his position. He averaged 5 threes per game in both wins today.

Hakeem Weems 6-8 2025 F (Atlanta Xpress) is another player having a good early spring. He’s not a name on many coaches list coming into the grassroots season but that all should change with his current play. Weems is very active on both ends, can make spot jumpers  and shows the ability to get to scoring spots with 1-2 dribbles.

Sammy Jackson 6-7 2026 Wing (Philly Pride) Can hurt you in many ways. He has good ball skills to create space for his jumper or drives to the basket. Pride also used him as a point forward due to his passing skills and ability to take advantage of his speed and shiftiness against bigger players. Jackson can shoot it with range and finish in the Lasne with both hands, Jebron Harris 6-4 2026 Wing (Sureshots) is a do everything player for the Jersey crew, the absolute glue guy. Harris can trigger the offense,, drop down to the block to take advantage of size mismatches, attack off the bounce and knock down the three ball. On the defensive end he can guard multiple positions, using his size and strength to guard bigger players.

Jaylin Connard 6-1 2027 PG and Tavid Johnson 6-3 2027 CG make a tough combo for the West Coast Elite 16’s. Connard is a heady point guard that always had his head up the floor for kick aheads, smoothly runs the offense and can finish plays with both hands.  The still 14 year old Johnson can flat out score. Not lacking in confidence, he can hurt you with the deep ball, pull-ups or attacking off the bounce.
