HOUSTON, TX – This year’s camp had a lot of young players coming to make a statement on the national landscape and quite a few did. It was an intense and high competitive environment all weekend.
2028 Jordan Mitchell | 6’4 | Combo Guard (Link Academy) Louisville, KY
Mitchell can score in bunches at all three levels, using his ability to attack the basket to create open three-point opportunities. He has a strong feel for the game and knows when to take over or get teammates involved. Once primarily a physical downhill guard, he has become quicker and more explosive, now finishing above the rim. His greatest asset may be his leadership—communicating positively and bringing out the best in his teammates.
2029 Herbert Wekem | 6’9” F/C
Jordan Christian Prep | Orlando, FL
Wekem’s development over the past three years has been impressive. Once primarily a dunker, he now handles the ball, knocks down threes and makes better decisions offensively. He brings aggression and strong shot blocking on the defensive end. If his development continues at this pace, he has the potential to become a top-25 prospect nationally.
2029 Emmanuel Nwaboku | 6’9” F/C
Houston Christian School | Houston, TX
Nwaboku combines an impressive frame with outstanding athleticism, blending physicality and finesse around the basket with the ability to knock down threes. He showed flashes of dominance this past weekend when fully engaged. Consistent effort and intensity will be key to reaching his considerable potential.
2029 Julius Ogunfuye | 6’6” F
One World Academy | Cypress, TX
Ogunfuye stood out in drills and games with his length, explosiveness and consistent effort. He attacked the basket relentlessly, finished with aggression and showed the ability to score at all three levels. His versatility to guard multiple positions adds to his value and should help him climb nationally in the 2029 class.
2028 Jax Sharum | 6’3” SG
New Wave Academy | Houston, TX
Sharum may have been the most intense player at camp, competing with an edge and confidence. He showcased exceptional shooting range, knocking down multiple shots from the logo, while also attacking the basket and finishing. His scoring versatility and relentless intensity made him stand out.
2030 Yovar Shephard | 5’11” PG
Village Christian | Chatsworth, CA
Shephard was one of camp’s biggest surprises, competing tenaciously on both ends. He consistently reached the basket, knocked down threes and showed good court awareness by finding open teammates. His scoring, playmaking and relentless effort made him stand out.
2029 Jacob Elloie | 6’4 SG | Woodlands Christian School | Woodlands, TX
Elloie played with an outstanding motor and consistent intensity on both ends. He impressed with his ability to guard multiple positions and was most effective offensively attacking the basket and finishing at the rim.
2028 Kevonte Rose | 6’8 F
Gray Collegiate Academy | Columbia, SC
Rose is a strong, mobile big man whose high motor and physicality impact both ends. He does most of his offensive damage around the basket and actively contests shots defensively, making him a disruptive presence in the paint.
2028 RJ Ball | 6’4 SG
Beverly Hills High | Los Angeles, CA
Ball plays a smooth, controlled game with patience and a good feel for the offense. He knows how to create his shot without rushing and recognizes when to get his teammates involved. Adding more physicality and becoming more aggressive, particularly when attacking the basket and finishing through contact, will help take his game to another level.
2020 Dezmond Romdonovic | 6’7 WF
Seton Hall Prep | Woodbridge, NJ
Romdonovic is a skilled, long wing who can play inside and out, put the ball on the floor and finish with either hand. He rebounds tenaciously and surprises opponents with his athleticism. I didn’t see many three-point attempts, but if he adds consistent perimeter shooting to that skill set, New Jersey should take notice.
2029 Eli Murray | 6’7 F
St. Francis Prep | Queens, NY
Murray is one of the most skilled wings in his class, combining size with the ability to score at all three levels. He handles the ball well, creates his own scoring opportunities and finishes with either hand around the basket. His versatility makes him a difficult matchup inside and on the perimeter. If he continues developing along his current path, he has the tools to become a special player.
2030 Emmanuel Quedraogo | 7’ C
Wilson Academy | Atlanta, GA
Quedraogo is a developing big man with promising upside. He moves well for his size, plays with a good motor and showed flashes of solid footwork and finishing around the basket. Continued development and consistency will determine how far his intriguing tools can take him.
2028 Yasir Turner | 6’3 G
Coatesville | Philadelphia, PA
Turner plays with toughness and patience, consistently getting to his spots and finishing through contact. He thrives attacking downhill, has a smooth midrange pull-up and consistently knocked down threes. His scoring versatility and physical approach make him a difficult matchup.
2031 Dominic Mitchell | 5’11 G
Metairie Park Country Day | Destrehan, LA
Mitchell came to camp determined to prove he belonged and delivered with tenacious play on both ends. He attacked the lane confidently and finished through contact, but his relentless on-ball defense stood out most. His toughness and competitive spirit make him an exciting young prospect with a bright future.
2029 Marco Johnson | 6’4 G
Oak Hill | Gainesville, FL
Johnson combines size, strength and athleticism to attack downhill and finish through contact. His shot-making, ballhandling and passing give him offensive versatility, while his ability to defend multiple positions allows him to impact both ends.
2029 Amari Winters | 6’2 G
Cannon School | Concord, NC
Winters impressed all weekend with his court vision, finding open teammates and threading passes through tight windows. He ran the offense with a strong feel for the game, scoring when needed while making it clear his priority was getting everyone involved.
2028 Luke Henderson | 6’4” G | Cinco Ranch (Katy, TX)
Henderson immediately stood out with his length, fluid athleticism, and offensive versatility. He attacks the basket with long strides and uses his size to finish effectively at the rim. His ability to score from all three levels both with and without the ball, makes him a difficult matchup and one of the weekend’s most intriguing prospects.
2029 Austin Dottin | 6’4” G | St. Francis Prep (NY)
Smooth, skilled PG who made an impact in my Saturday viewing. He caught my attention first at a UA session. Even with only playing Saturday, he stood out with his skill level and ability to make plays.
Dottin has excellent body control and does a good job creating space with his frame. He makes it look easy going right or left when breakdown defenders.
Dottin has that classic up-north guard skill and toughness. Just needs to be more vocal and active defensively. I must keep up with him this season, he’s good Coaches!
