The 2025 Pangos All-South Frosh/Soph Camp once again delivered a high level of talent and competitive energy, with several young guards showcasing skill sets well beyond their years. From elite shot-making and crafty playmaking to defensive presence and poise under pressure, this year’s group featured multiple prospects who separated themselves from the pack.

Bae Bae Groom – 6’0 Guard | Class of 2028 | Duncanville HS (TX)
Groom was one of the most consistent two-way performers of the weekend. The Duncanville product stood out with his ability to score at all three levels, using pace and body control to create separation and finish efficiently. He also showed strong defensive instincts, moving his feet well and taking pride in on-ball coverage. Groom’s blend of scoring and playmaking gives him long-term appeal as a lead guard capable of running an offense while being a threat to put points on the board at any time.
Aiden Clark – 6’0 Guard | Class of 2028 | Houston Legacy School (TX)
Clark made a major impression, capping his weekend by earning MVP honors of the Top 30 Game. The explosive guard constantly put pressure on defenders with a quick first step that allowed him to get to the rim at will. He showed comfort knocking down shots from beyond the arc and demonstrated a composed, mature approach to the game. Clark’s combination of burst, scoring versatility, and confidence made him one of the premier guards in attendance.

Heir Jackson – 6’2 Combo Guard | Class of 2030 | Homeschool (TX) One of the youngest prospects at the camp, Jackson displayed impressive poise and upside. At 6’2, he already has good positional size and uses it well on both ends of the floor. He showcased impressive athleticism and fluidity, hitting shots off the dribble and attacking gaps with confidence. For a 2030 prospect, Jackson’s feel for the game and ability to create offense were advanced, making him a name to watch in future Pangos events.
Braylon Manning – 5’8 Guard | Class of 2029 | Waxahachie HS (TX)
Manning’s quickness and energy were difference-makers throughout the weekend. He used his speed to consistently get downhill and put pressure on the defense. Defensively, he was disruptive at the point of attack, forcing turnovers and turning defense into offense. Manning also proved he could stretch the floor, connecting on multiple deep threes in the Top 60 Game where he took home MVP honors. His tenacity and confidence stood out among his peers.
Cohen Lacoste – 6’0 Guard | Class of 2028 | Melissa HS (TX)
Lacoste impressed with his steady presence and advanced decision-making. He orchestrated the offense with maturity, controlling tempo and finding open teammates throughout the weekend. Lacoste handled defensive pressure well, consistently got into the paint to create scoring opportunities, and knocked down shots when left open. His blend of composure, IQ, and skill makes him a reliable floor general with next-level potential.
Other Guards Who Impressed
Several other guards also left strong impressions with their play. Patrick Jameson (6’0, 2028, Liberty Christian HS) displayed a balanced skill set and energy on both ends of the floor. Brock Moore (5’11, 2028, Waxahachie HS) played with confidence and showed his versatile scoring ability as he got it done from just about everywhere on the offensive end. Jamion Broom (6’1, 2028, Lake Highlands HS) showcased his handle and ability to shoot off the driving. Terrance Johnson (6’2, 2029, Plano Sr. HS) showcased athletic tools and scoring versatility, while Prince Shammgod (6’1, 2029, Legion Prep HS) impressed with his creativity and ability to make plays for himself and others.
