Bryan, TX – Class of 2026 wing Anthony Thompson is one of the more intriguing prospects in the country, blending length, skill, and poise into a smooth, two-way game that has drawn the attention of high-major programs across the nation. Thompson showed his talents at the first session of the Adidas circuit.
The 6-foot-8 lefty playing with Western Reserve Academy (OH), with an impressive 7-foot-2 wingspan, recently trimmed his list of college suitors to 15 schools: Auburn, Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State, Texas, Louisville, Kentucky, Notre Dame, Indiana, Xavier, BYU, North Carolina, Kansas, Purdue, and Georgetown.
“I’ve visited most of the schools already,” Thompson said. “Not sure when I’ll start taking visits again, but I’m hoping to continue to narrow down the list and commit by the end of the year.”
Thompson’s game is built on versatility. On the offensive end, he can score from all three levels hitting shots from deep, attacking closeouts off the dribble, and finishing at the rim with touch and athleticism. Defensively, he uses his length and mobility to guard multiple positions and make an impact both on the perimeter and at the rim.
“I offer versatility on the offensive and defensive end with my length, and the ability to make shots at 3 levels,” Thompson explained.
Thompson has been a major stock-riser over the past year on the AAU circuit with Indiana Elite, showing growth in his playmaking and confidence as a go-to scorer. With his physical tools and all-around game, he fits the mold of a modern wing who can impact winning in multiple ways.
While no official timeline has been announced for his next round of visits, Thompson remains focused on continuing to develop his game.
“I just want to find the right fit—somewhere I can grow, win, and be challenged every day,” he said.
Thompson, #15 on Make5 2026 rankings continues to navigate the recruiting process with a commitment decision made by the end of 2025.
