Lakeland, FL – This is my 4th year attending Future Elite All American Camp brought by Bay Area Hoops and each year is impressing me more and more. The attendance is kept low, so it gives you a real chance to evaluate the talent in attendance. Each year, some high-major prospects emerge from this camp. There are a few I witnessed play in both evaluation sessions that I think may blow up nationally.
2028 Ethan Knox 6’6 F (Sante Fe Catholic) Lakeland, FL
This player exhibits exceptional versatility as a wing, making him a promising prospect for the future. His explosive dribbling ability and proficiency from beyond the arc are evident. Additionally, his versatility in guarding multiple positions sets him apart from many other players in his class. It is plausible that he will achieve significant recognition on the national stage within the next year.
2028 Ethan Mott 6’6 SG/WF (Pine Crest School) Jupiter, FL
If there’s a better pure shooter in the 2028 class, I’d be thrilled to see him. His shots were all on target, and he had some impressive moves. He’s got decent ball-handling skills and can really surprise you with his athleticism.
2028 Camden Cooper 6’5 SG/WF (St John’s Country Day) Jacksonville, FL
He’s been recognized on the national scene for the last couple of years, so he came into camp with a target on his back. Well, he answered the bell. He was aggressive with the ball, attacking the glass. He showed good range on his jump shot. His passing has improved. He was more active on defense. He’s starting to grow into his potential.
2028 Raiden Burke 5’11 PG (Seffner Christian Academy) Riverview, FL
Over the years, I have witnessed the remarkable growth of Raiden’s basketball game. He has emerged as a floor general, possessing a high IQ and a comprehensive understanding of the game’s intricacies. His jump shot has significantly improved in both accuracy and consistency. Additionally, his defensive skills have shown marked improvement.
2028 Arik Ring 6’10 C (Victory Prep)
His length is what catches your eye when he walks into the gym. I was surprised by his mobility and energy he brought immediately to the games. He has good hands and was able to finish above the rim numerous times. He showed good fundamentals for his age; he consistently kept the ball above his head. I really liked the way he got up and down the court and attacked the glass.
2028 Dallas Oliver 6’1 PG (North Tampa Christian Academy) Tampa, FL
His toughness was off the charts, and he wasn’t afraid to go head-to-head with anyone. He took contact like a champ and finished with ease. He made some smart decisions on the court and even sank a few threes. And let’s not forget his on-ball defense – he was all over the place!
2028 Jordan Rivera 5’7 PG (Bcat) Daytona, FL
He may be the player I was most excited to watch the most. The way he played the game is well beyond his years. He plays with his head up and gets everybody involved. He brings so much intensity and focus to his team. He’s a tough on-ball defender that guards 94 feet. I don’t know his ceiling, but he definitely is the type of player that helps your team win games.
2028 Arhan Ramachandran 6’6 PF (North Tampa Christian Academy) Tampa, FL
The prospect exhibited exceptional length and athleticism. His coordination and skill in the paint were particularly impressive. His ability to move swiftly and efficiently around the floor, coupled with his finishing prowess at the rim, was noteworthy. His hands and touch with the ball were also commendable. His potential for growth and development is substantial.
2028 Alexis Fuentes 6’5 PF (Bcat) Kissimmee, FL
He’s got a great feel for the game around the basket. He’s got some serious skills and isn’t afraid to get physical and take contact. He’s got a great sense of timing and can make some really nice passes out of the post. He also showed some nice mid-range shooting. He’s a really good player who knows how to play his own game.
2028 Andrew Doyley Jr. 6’1 G (Stars Mill) Atlanta, GA
The player from Atlanta arrived to make an impact, and he certainly achieved that. While he may not yet possess the full attributes of a point guard, he demonstrated occasional flashes of brilliance in passing the ball to the appropriate teammate. While he occasionally lost control of the ball, this can be attributed to his unwavering aggressiveness. However, his most impressive performance came when he played downhill and aggressively attacked the basket.
2029 Reggie Evans jr 6’1 G (Bonito) Tampa, FL
The individual possesses remarkable physical attributes and athleticism for his age. He exhibits a high level of intensity and competitiveness on the court. Notably, he demonstrated the ability to sink three-pointers effectively. Additionally, I was impressed by his mid-range game, showcasing his decision-making skills and ability to engage his teammates. As he matures, his consistency is expected to continue to improve.
2028 Bryson Jatta 6’1″ G (HillGrove) Douglasville, GA
Strong, downhill off guard with a knack to get the ball to the rim and score. Shows a level of maturity in his game that draws attention. Jatta should make a big impact this season and will be a person of interest from now on.
2028 Sebastian Lefranc 5’11 G (Bell Creek Academy) Seffner, FL
The player possesses exceptional speed and agility, exhibiting a consistent playing style. His versatility in scoring allows him to excel at various levels of the court. His pull-up game is impressive, and he demonstrates proficiency in positioning himself effectively on the floor. His preference for downhill play adds to his overall offensive capabilities. While I would like to observe an improvement in his decision-making within the paint, it is undeniable that he possesses a remarkable talent.
