In a recruiting landscape constantly searching for length, versatility, and long-term upside, 2027 forward Rowan Woodrich is quickly emerging as one of Georgia’s most intriguing under-the-radar prospects.

The 6-foot-9 Peach County standout possesses the type of physical profile that immediately catches the eye. With his combination of size, mobility, and developing skill set, Woodrich impacts the game on both ends of the floor and continues to show significant growth each time he steps on the court.

What separates Woodrich from many of his peers is the progression he has made over the last 12 months. The Peach County forward has transformed from a promising young prospect into one of Middle Georgia’s fastest-rising players. His development earned him First Team All-Region honors while attracting increasing attention from coaches and evaluators throughout the Southeast.

While statistics only tell part of the story, Woodrich’s production has become impossible to overlook. During the 2025-26 season, he delivered multiple double-digit scoring performances against quality competition and established himself as one of the premier rim protectors in Georgia’s Class AAA ranks. His length, timing, and instincts around the basket allow him to alter shots and anchor the defense while still possessing considerable room for growth.

Beyond the measurable attributes, Woodrich brings an impressive level of competitiveness to the floor. He plays with a consistent motor, runs the court well, rebounds outside his area, and embraces physicality in the paint. As his offensive game continues to expand and his perimeter skills develop, his versatility projects extremely well at the next level, where multi-positional forwards are increasingly valuable.

Woodrich further elevated his profile last week at GBCA Live, where he generated considerable buzz among college coaches and evaluators in attendance. Competing against many of the state’s top prospects in the Class of 2027, he showcased the continued development that has made him a name worth tracking on the recruiting trail.

His success extends well beyond basketball. Woodrich carries a 4.0 GPA and has expressed aspirations of competing at the Division I level while pursuing an elite academic education. His goal of attending an Ivy League institution reflects the discipline, maturity, and long-term vision that make him especially appealing to college programs.

As recruiting continues to evolve, players like Woodrich often become some of the most valuable evaluations. He may not yet receive the attention of some nationally ranked prospects, but his combination of size, academics, work ethic, defensive impact, and developmental upside makes him a player that college coaches should have firmly on their radar.

With another season approaching, expect Rowan Woodrich’s recruitment to continue trending upward. Today he may be considered one of Georgia’s best-kept secrets in the Class of 2027, but that distinction is unlikely to remain for long.

Rockhill, SC – The first session of the 2026 NBPA Top 100 Camp featured some of the nation’s top prospects from the Classes of 2027 and 2028, and several players wasted little time making their presence felt. With every court loaded with high-major talent, the players who stood out were the ones that consistently impacted winning, competed on both ends, and produced against elite competition. Here are the players who caught our attention during the opening session in Rock Hill.

Jordan Page | 2027 Wing

Jordan Page was one of the most explosive players in the gym during the opening session. The athletic wing constantly put pressure on the defense by attacking downhill, finishing through contact, and creating opportunities in transition. His activity level stood out on both ends of the floor, and he played with the type of confidence that immediately grabs your attention. Page’s ability to impact the game without needing plays called for him was impressive.

Cayden Daughtry | 2027 Point Guard

Daughtry looked comfortable running the show against elite competition. He consistently made the right reads, controlled pace, and showed excellent balance between facilitating and looking for his own offense. The talented floor general played with poise beyond his years and was one of the more productive lead guards we watched throughout the session. His decision making and command of the game separated him from many of his peers.

Reese Alston | 2027 Point Guard

Alston continues to prove why he’s considered one of the top guards in the 2027 class. He showcased his ability to score from all three levels while also creating quality opportunities for teammates. What stood out most was his feel for the game and his ability to make the right play at the right time. He looked every bit the part of a high-major point guard.

Ricky Moore Jr. | 2027 Shooting Guard

Moore had one of the more efficient scoring performances of the session. He knocked down perimeter shots, attacked driving lanes when available, and competed defensively throughout the day. His ability to play within the flow of the offense while still producing points was impressive. Moore consistently found ways to impact the game without forcing the action.

Chase Lumpkin | 2027 Combo Guard

Lumpkin’s versatility was on full display during the opening session. Whether operating as a primary ball handler or playing off the ball, he made winning plays and showed good instincts. His size, strength, and ability to defend multiple positions added value on the defensive end. Lumpkin continues to establish himself as one of the more complete guards in the class.

Paul Osaruyi | 2027 Power Forward

Osaruyi brought toughness and physicality every time he stepped on the floor. He controlled the glass, protected the rim, and consistently finished around the basket. His motor never seemed to slow down, and he embraced doing the dirty work that doesn’t always show up in the box score. Among the frontcourt players, few had a bigger impact on winning possessions.

Demarcus Henry | 2027 Small Forward

Henry showcased an intriguing blend of size, athleticism, and skill. The versatile wing scored from multiple areas of the floor while also contributing as a rebounder and defender. He played with great energy and impacted the game in a variety of ways. His two-way versatility continues to make him a prospect worth tracking closely.

Antonio Pemberton | 2027 Point Guard

Pemberton’s quickness with the basketball immediately stood out. He consistently got into the paint, created advantages for teammates, and showed the ability to change speeds effectively. His confidence as a playmaker helped keep defenses on their heels throughout the session. Defensively, he competed and brought good energy every possession.

Micah Gordon | 2027 Point Guard

Gordon turned in one of the more complete performances among the point guards in attendance. He controlled tempo, made smart decisions, and displayed strong leadership qualities throughout the day. His defensive pressure created several easy opportunities in transition, and he rarely looked rattled under pressure. Gordon simply played winning basketball.

Dooney Johnson | 2027 Wing Guard

Johnson was one of the most productive wings during the opening session. He knocked down shots from the perimeter, attacked closeouts aggressively, and used his athleticism to make plays in transition. His confidence and aggressiveness stood out against a talented field. Johnson continues to show why he’s one of the more highly regarded wings in the class.

Declan Griffiths | 2027 Wing Forward

Griffiths impacted the game across the board. He scored when needed, facilitated offense, rebounded his position, and consistently made smart basketball plays. His ability to stretch the floor while also competing inside created matchup problems throughout the day. Griffiths’ versatility remains one of his biggest strengths.

Logan Chwastyk | 2028 Center

One of the younger players who stood out during the session was Chwastyk. The 2028 big man battled older competition and more than held his own. He established position early, rebounded at a high level, and finished efficiently around the basket. His physicality and willingness to compete were impressive for a player still early in his high school career.

Kevin Savage III | 2027 Point Guard

Savage brought a steady presence to the point guard position. He made smart decisions, kept his team organized, and consistently made the right play. His composure under pressure and ability to impact the game as both a scorer and facilitator helped him stand out. Savage looked comfortable competing against some of the nation’s top guards.

Yann Kamagate | 2028 Center

Kamagate was easily one of the most intriguing long-term prospects in attendance. At over seven feet tall, he altered shots around the basket, ran the floor well, and flashed developing offensive skill. His mobility and length make him a unique prospect with tremendous upside. As he continues to develop physically and refine his skill set, his ceiling remains extremely high.

Final Thoughts

Day one of the NBPA Top 100 Camp delivered exactly what was expected  elite competition and plenty of standout performances. The guard play was exceptional throughout the opening session, while several frontcourt prospects also made strong statements. With multiple sessions remaining, these players have positioned themselves among the early standouts and will be names to watch as camp continues.

The Under Armour Circuit continues to showcase some of the premier young talent in the country, with multiple prospects elevating their stock through strong spring performances. From established stars to emerging names, the depth across the grassroots landscape has been on full display.

One of the biggest names making noise has been 2028 standout JL Williams of B Maze Elite 16U. Williams continues to prove why he belongs firmly in the Top 25 conversation nationally within his class after another dominant weekend on the Under Armour Next stage. Consistently producing 20-point, 10-rebound performances, he has become one of the most productive forwards on the circuit. Defensively, his presence was equally impactful, highlighted by a remarkable nine-block outing. Williams combines polished post moves with the ability to stretch the floor and knock down perimeter shots, making him an extremely difficult matchup offensively.

In the 17U division, Darrell Davis of Team Thrill has arguably been the most consistent point guard on the circuit thus far. Davis controls the tempo of the game with maturity beyond his years, excelling as both a facilitator and scorer. His ability to create opportunities for teammates while also taking over offensively when needed has made him one of the more complete guards in attendance. On the defensive end, his relentless ball pressure disrupts opposing offenses and sets the tone for Team Thrill. Simply put, Team Thrill goes as Davis goes.

Another key performer has been Jarvis Hayes Jr. of Atlanta Xpress 17U. Hayes serves as the engine for his squad, and when he is locked in, Atlanta Xpress becomes one of the more dangerous teams on the circuit. His ability to penetrate the defense, create scoring opportunities, and impact the game in multiple ways stands out every weekend. Although his outside shot was not falling consistently during this past session, Hayes still found ways to contribute to winning basketball. His versatility to effectively play all three perimeter positions may ultimately be his greatest strength.

One of the most talked-about players nationally this spring has been 2029 forward Draydne McDaniel of Pro One 16U. The 6’8” small forward has emerged as one of the premier young prospects in the country while helping elevate Pro One into one of the top teams on the UA Circuit. McDaniel’s blend of size, athleticism, competitiveness, and two-way versatility makes him a dynamic player to watch. He impacts the game in transition, around the rim, and defensively with his ability to guard multiple positions.

Another standout in the 2029 class has been Quinton Wilson of Atlanta Xpress 16U. Wilson brings a smooth, controlled pace to the game that opposing defenders struggle to speed up. He has proven to be highly effective as both a catch & shoot threat or a scorer off the dribble, while also finishing efficiently at the rim. Wilson is averaging 18.3 points per game while shooting an impressive 49 % from the field and 49 % from three-point range, showcasing his efficiency and scoring ability.

Another intriguing long-term prospect emerging on the circuit is 2029 wing forward Bronx Ganaway of KC Run GMC.

At 6’8”, Ganaway possesses the size, mobility, and perimeter skill set that immediately catches attention. His versatility on both ends of the floor continues to flash significant upside, especially as a player capable of operating on or off the ball. The tools are clearly there for him to develop into a high-level prospect.

As Ganaway continues to physically mature and add strength, particularly finishing through contact and establishing himself more consistently around the rim, his overall production and impact should continue to rise. With his combination of length, athletic tools, and skill development, Ganaway looks every bit like a potential high-major prospect in the making.

Hamilton OH – One of the biggest stock risers in the country this spring continues to be Draydne McDaniel, who is making a serious case as the country’s No. 1 overall player in the 2029 class.

Since joining Pro One 16U on the UA Circuit, the 6’8” forward has elevated nearly every aspect of his game. McDaniel’s combination of physicality, versatility, length, and athleticism has consistently separated him from his peers. More importantly, he has embraced a larger offensive and defensive role, showing improved decision-making, expanded scoring ability, and greater consistency throughout games.

Through eight games this spring, McDaniel is averaging 17 points, 10.1 rebounds, 1.4 blocks, and 1.3 steals per contest while helping guide Pro One to a strong 6-2 record. His play has already begun drawing major college attention, recently earning an offer from University of Alabama. As his development continues, McDaniel is rapidly becoming one of the most highly discussed young prospects in the nation.

I am loving the journey with pro one! feel as if it was the best fit for me in my journey right now. i have adjusted to doing more things so at prolific prep, work was always being put in so when it was my time to shine i was ready! i’ve already worked on it behind the scenes, just had to apply it in the game. enjoying the journey.

One of the more intriguing long, athletic forwards in the 2026 class, Chris Washington Jr. has made his decision choosing to head to the University of Tennessee. Washington has made significant strides at Providence Christian Academy (TN) and his commitment over programs like Auburn Tigers men’s basketball, USC Trojans men’s basketball, Villanova Wildcats men’s basketball and others marks a major step in his journey. Washington is originally from Gainesville, FL.
We caught up with the Volunteer commit to talk about his growth, mindset, and what separates him from the pack.

Q: What’s been the difference in your growth from last year to now?
Washington: “I have gotten a lot stronger since I been up here.”

That added strength has shown up in his ability to play through contact, finish at the rim, and hold his own defensively. Pair that with his natural length and athleticism, and it’s easy to see the jump.

Q: What’s your developmental focus this season and your goals?
Washington: “Just to keep getting better every day so I can accomplish my dream, which is to make it to the NBA.”

The focus is simple but effective—consistent daily improvement. Washington is locked in on long-term success, keeping the NBA as his ultimate goal while embracing the grind it takes to get there.

Q: Tell me something people don’t know about you.
Washington: “I love to fish when I’m not hooping.”

Away from the court, he enjoys slowing things down—something that helps balance the intensity he brings between the lines.

Q: Who is your favorite player?
Washington: “Giannis, LeBron, and KD.”

His influences speak volumes. From versatility and dominance to skill and length, Washington models parts of his game after some of the most impactful players in basketball.

Q: Who helped you make your decision?
Washington: “Me and my family.”

Keeping his circle tight, Washington leaned on family throughout the recruiting process, ultimately choosing a path that felt right both on and off the court.

Q: What separates you from other players at your position?
Washington: “I work harder than my opponent.”

It’s a mindset rooted in effort and consistency. With his physical tools already standing out, that approach to the game could be what truly elevates him at the next level.

March 27-29, 2026 – Greenville, SC

This is my 13th year covering the Ashton Arnold Opening Day Memorial in Greenville, SC.
This event gives me a chance to cover some of the best young talent in SC every year. This year was no different.

Below is some of the standout players:

2028 Kaleb Allen (Carolina Premier UA 16U)

When this young man’s engaged, he is one of the best players in his class nationally. He has the tools to do it all. He has good length and he’s very athletic. When playing downhill, he is almost unstoppable. When he gets everything rolling at once, he can be electric. He has the ability to knock down the deep 3 or finish at the basket above the rim. He is a versatile defender that can cause major problems with his length. The sky’s the limit for Kaleb.

2029 R’Javion Booker (RJ)  (Carolina Premier 15U UAA)

RJ is the catalyst for his team. The team goes as he goes. He plays with a good understanding of the game and plays with great pace. He is hard to speed up. He does most of his damage when he gets in the paint and makes plays for his teammates as well as for himself. He gets his teammates involved and understands when he needs to step up his scoring. On the defensive end, he is an outstanding on-ball defender.

2028 Tyler Bradley (Carolina Premier UA 16U)

Tyler plays with high intensity and competes from start to finish. His on-ball defense is outstanding, and he puts the pressure on a full 94 feet. On the offensive end, he is most effective playing downhill and attacking the basket.

2029 Eli Howard (Carolina Premier

15U UAA)

When I first started watching him, his shooting range was the first thing that impressed me. He has a good range in the gym. As I continued to watch him, I realized all the other good attributes he had. He’s a very good passer and he knows how to attack the rim and score using angles. He also brought a toughness to the team.

2030 Ja’Kobe Cowans (Carolina

Premier Upstate Future)

This young player was the catalyst for the team that won the championship. The lefty really knows how to control the game for his youthful age. He plays with good pace and patience. He can get to the basket at will and has very good court vision. When the team needed him to take over, he had no problem scoring at will.

2030 Karter Hartwell (Carolina Premier Upstate Future)

Hartwell is long, athletic, and an active player. He affects the game on both ends of the court. I like the way he handles the ball and finishes at the basket. I really like his skill set for his age. He has a tremendous upside.

2029 Davyn Giger (Carolina Day (Asheville, NC) – Carolina Premier 15U UAA)

He is the glue guy for his team. He makes big shots when asked. He gets clutch rebounds and makes timely steals. He can score at all three levels and is effective in the paint against taller players. You can tell he was taught to play the game the right way and at a very high level.

2028 Kiishawn Farrow (Carolina Premier UA 16U)

He is the key to success for his team. He’s a tough, hard-nosed PG that makes big shots and is not afraid of the big moment. He understands the value of getting his players involved before getting himself going offensively. He is a tenacious on-ball defender that will pick you up 94 feet.

2029 Charlie Cothran (Carolina Premier 15U UAA)

The big fella had to grow on me. I like how he moves without the ball and puts himself in the best position to score. He runs the floor well and is an incredibly good passer out of the double team. He really impressed me with his ability to stretch the floor and knock down the 3-ball. He plays very good position defense and is a good help defender.

2028 Jaylin Brewer (Carolina Premier UA 16U)

He is a physical wing that has no problem getting in the paint and mixing it up. He is a crafty scorer in the paint and has the ability to knock down the open jump shot. He is highly effective getting out on the break, filling the lane, and finishing at the rim. He showed the ability to guard multiple positions.

2028 Riley Lail (Carolina Premier UA 16U)

When i first started watching him, I thought he was just a great outside shooter. After watching multiple games, I realized he could play both guard position. He showed he could run and offense and get his teammates involved. He also showed when ran off the 3-point line, he could put the ball on the floor and make good things happen for him are his teammates.

2030 Austin Landy (Blue Jays)

The big fella impressed with his energy and his physically on the boards on both ends. He was relentless the whole game. Even though his team was outmatched he continued to compete. He still a little raw offensively, that didn’t stop him from being effective scoring around the rim. I amgoing to watch his progress.

2030 Tre Lattimore (Carolina Premier Upstate Future)

The young man oozes potential. I love how active he is and how hard he works. He is raw, so it iseasy to write him off as a below average player, but the attributes he has you cannot teach.

2030 Ashton Hudson (Carolina Premier Upstate Future)

He was a pest on the defensive end and on the offensive end, he is jet quick and has no problem getting to the basket.

His toughness showed on both ends.

2031 Legend Adams (Carolina Premier Black Future)

Legend impressed me with the way he competed. When his team’s back was against the wall and the game got tight, he stepped up his play. He has no problem getting in the lane and finishing amongst the trees. He is crafty with the ball and knows how to get to his spots.

2031 Maddox Bolden (Carolina Premier Black Future)

He is quick and crafty and plays most effective when the balls in his hands. He scored at all 3 levels and had no problem getting past his man. Teams were forced to trap him. His game translates to him playing early in high school.

Orlando, FL – Session 1 of Hoop Exchange x Source Hoops delivered a deep pool of talent across multiple classes, featuring a strong mix of established programs and emerging organizations. While Florida Rebels, MBJ Elite, 1Family, and Showtime Ballers continue to set the bar, programs like OGB, Team Gulf Coast, Exclusive Hoops, and Swift Sports Only showcased depth and long-term upside.

Top Performers

2027 | 5’11” PG | Tony Magock | Exclusive Hoops

Magock embodies the qualities of a true lead guard. He controls tempo with purpose, consistently makes the right reads, and operates with a high level of poise. His ability to organize the offense, create for others, and remain composed under pressure separates him. A steady decision-maker who impacts winning without forcing the action.

2028 | 6’5” SG | Luis Angel Valdez | OGB
Valdez offers an ideal blend of size, strength, and downhill aggression. He thrives attacking the rim, using his frame to absorb contact and finish through defenders. In transition and half-court settings, he consistently applies pressure on the defense. His physical tools and attacking mindset make him a difficult cover.

2027 | 6’10” C | Amari Walton | Swift Sports Only
Walton brings a physical interior presence that impacts both ends of the floor. He embraces contact, finishes effectively around the rim, and handles the dirty work inside. Defensively, he anchors the paint—protecting the rim, altering shots, and establishing a strong interior presence. His toughness and motor stand out.

Stock Risers / Notable Performances

The annual showcase of some of the nation’s top high school programs tipped off Thursday in Fort Myers as the City of Palms Classic returned to center stage. For more than 50 years, COP has served as a benchmark event on the early-season calendar, bringing together elite programs, high-level matchups, and some of the best talent in the country.

Imhotep vs. Petersburg

This matchup had the feel of a high-energy grinder—fast paced, physical, and at times sloppy, with careless turnovers and missed layups on both ends.

Despite the miscues, both teams stayed engaged defensively, keeping the game competitive throughout. Petersburg maintained control behind its physicality and interior presence, with OSU commit Latrell Allmond setting the tone in the second half.

Petersburg High School

Petersburg played with force early, establishing a physical edge in the first half.

  • Ladarius Givan was extremely efficient, not missing a shot in the first half—including a three—and closed the half with nine points.
  • Latrell Allmond did the dirty work inside, drawing fouls, attacking the paint, and consistently getting to the free-throw line. Ball security was an issue at times, but his impact was undeniable as he finished with 21 points and six rebounds.
  • Kelvin Anderson, a small scoring guard with a quick release, made Imhotep pay for going under screens, knocking down multiple threes and finishing with 19 points.

Imhotep

  • Latief Lorenzano-White, an intriguing freshman prospect, showed promise with his length, activity level, and left-handed stroke, knocking down a three.
  • Zaahir Muhammad-Gray served as the offensive anchor, with Imhotep running much of its offense through him at the high post. He used his strength to score and facilitate, while also stepping out to knock down a three. He finished with 20 points.
  • Jordan Dill, the primary ballhandler, provided steady play and composure throughout, posting 18 points and five assists.

Calvary Christian vs. Owasso

Calvary Christian 62, Owasso 52

Calvary’s speed and scoring from the backcourt proved to be the difference.

Calvary Christian

  • The backcourt duo of Caden Daughtry and Jacob Zhu controlled the game with their pace, craft, and shot-making. Both guards consistently got downhill, finished creatively, and knocked down jumpers.
  • Daughtry was in constant attack mode, applying pressure all game and living at the free-throw line. He finished with 28 points, seven rebounds, and four assists.
  • Zhu added 14 points, showcasing range and the ability to score at multiple levels.

Owasso

  • Jalen Montonati played well early, scoring from the mid-post and finishing plays around the basket. When his feet were set, he showed the ability to knock down the three.
  • Boden Williams played a complementary role—effective if not flashy—capable of scoring from the midrange and beyond the arc.

Sarasota vs. Archbishop Stepinac

Stepinac Dominates

Stepinac came out firing and never looked back, building a 28-point first-half lead and stretching it to 30 in the second half.

  • Josh Rivera set the tone early, scoring 10 points in the first quarter and finishing with 15 points and five assists.
  • Darius Ratliff led all scorers with 19 points.
  • Josiah Jervis added 15 points, while Hassan Koureissi chipped in 10.

Sarasota High

  • Johnny Lackaff did all he could to keep Sarasota competitive, finishing with 26 points and knocking down 5 of 12 from beyond the arc, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Stepinac’s depth, pressure, and pace.
